Isabella Turquie

interior designer and Architectural Designer in Los Cabos, BCS. México

I am an architectural designer based in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico, with three years of professional experience in the field.

My career began at Nexus Modular, a Canadian modular construction company, where I served as the sole designer. During this time, I gained valuable experience with different construction methods, including wood and steel framing, and developed proficiency in design software such as Vectorworks, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and D5 Render.

Currently, I work as a Project Designer at Querencia, where I’ve had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of concrete construction and high-end residential design. Transitioning from modular “tiny homes,” where functionality and space optimization are critical, to luxury homes has given me a unique perspective—one that allows me to approach upscale design with greater intention and creativity.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked on a range of projects, from residential to commercial, which has broadened both my technical skills and creative process. I am passionate about designing spaces that are not only functional and beautiful but also respectful of the environment and the land on which they are built. I believe that thoughtful, sustainable design arises from a deep connection with nature.

I’m a creative, enthusiastic, and open-minded professional with strong communication skills in both English and Spanish. Beyond architecture, I’m passionate about art, furniture design, and culture—all of which enrich and inspire my approach to creating meaningful, human-centered spaces.
